Spalter Select T-90 (Aroma)
α-acid: 3-5%
(Hops are agricultural crops, the α value of each batch will be slightly different, the pictures and data are for reference only.)
Bred from Hallertau Mittelfrüh and Spalt for disease resistance, Spalter Select was released in 1991 by the Hop Research Center of Hüll and quickly became very popular with German brewers.
Usage : Aroma. Almost as highly regarded as Mittelfrüh in its homeland, Select’s excellent sensory profile - in much the same vein as Spalt, Tettnang, and Saaz - elevates any traditional lager, cold-fermented ale, Weissbier, or Belgian style. Exquisite as a feature in Pils.
Aroma & Flavor Characteristics : Spicy, flowery, and hoppy with prominent undertones of ripe berry and citrus. Spice and wood character reminiscent of Spalt and Saaz. Powerful impressions but with great finesse.
